"Shhh..." by Jettie Woodruff

New cover reveal

Brought to you by Beauties and The Book

My name is McKenzie Perry. I’ve lived a life filled with secrets. Secrets that took me years to

Secrets that my bestie, Gia, and I kept from the world. Secrets that only I knew. I wasn’t afraid

of the lies, the secrets, or the hidden skeletons. That’s not what frightened me. I was afraid

that one day they would come out, somebody would find out the truth. If I am the only one that

knew the secrets, the lies, then they were safe, right?

It took several years for me to understand the impact of lies. Lies I told, secrets I kept, and the

lives they controlled. One of the things I know to be true is I did the things I did for a reason,

even if I didn’t know it at the time.

They all had a reason.

My name is Mack and this is my side of the story.

Author Bio

As most of you know I am Jettie Woodruff, author of the Amazon bestselling Underestimated

series. I also hate bios...

I am a lifelong writer, published for a couple years now. I write romance, erotica, and some

dark erotica. The main thing people need to know about my writing is, I don't really write your

normal, cliché, romance. I like to write on the edge where I like to keep my readers.

My main goal when I write is to pull every emotion possible from my readers. I want you to,

laugh, feel sad, get pissed off, and be happy. I also like to make you question your morals.

That is probably my aim more so than anything, make you fall in love with the bad guy.

Sometimes I can pull it off and sometimes not so much. I guess it depends on your forte. I like

to write about the bad boy, and have you fall in love with him.

I have always read, for as long as I can remember. My first taste of a dark read was VC

Andrew's, Casteel series. I need to read that one again.

I am overwhelmed with the support and friends that I have made throughout my endeavor,

and thank each and every one of you personally for all you do to help, for promoting me, for

recommending my books, and most of all for those little IM's that I get throughout the day

from people who love my work. Thanks guys, you're all my rocks, and live in my heart.

Beauty in the Ashes - by Micalea Smeltzer

Book Review.

Standalone Dark Contemporary Romance

Some stories are a fairytale…but this isn’t one.
Caelan Gregory’s life fell apart the night he went home and opened the door to find his whole family murdered. Since then, his life has held no meaning. He’s angry. He’s bitter. He’s barely human anymore. There’s nothing left to remind him of the straight A student, and football quarterback he once was…but he wasn’t a good person then, and he’s certainly not a good person now. He’s retreated into a world where all that exists is numbness and his passion for painting.
When Sutton Hale moves into the apartment across the hall from Caelan she’s not prepared for her reaction to him. Something in his broken blue eyes calls to her—after all she’s always had an irrational need to fix everything.
But Caelan doesn’t do relationships or feelings. He does drugs and alcohol. However, he can’t ignore his desire to get to know the raven-haired woman across the hall.
Two broken souls trying to mend one another.
But not everything can be fixed.
In the end, Caelan and Sutton will have to learn that there is beauty in the ashes

I was gifted this copy of Beauty in the Ashes, and so in return I am writing an honest review.  This story starts out with a tragedy with Caelan and his family, this immediately had me hooked, pulled into this story in a way I had been missing for a long time.  This first chapter gave me the feeling that I was going to be drawn into this book and I was.  I am not a very fast ready, life just gets in my way sometimes so it took me a couple of days to read this book and I hated putting it down to deal with life.  As this story continues we find that Caelan is tortured and struggling with life, with alcohol and drug abuse, he is angry at everyone and hates dealing with people. Woman are only there to service a need, but never kept around.  When Sutton moves in to the apartment building just across the hall from Caelan, she soon discovers that she has a very unfriendly neighbor.
Sutton is running, running from her family and her past, she also has her demons that she doesn’t want to share with anyone.  But with that said, she see’s something in this angry neighbor of hers that she can’t deny.  This man that she cannot avoid or deny is slowly becoming a kinder and gentler soul with Sutton.  They share this unspoken bond that seems to give Caelan some comfort and peace that he greatly needs.  I was very intrigued and kept reading hoping the next page would reveal Sutton’s secret, this secret that she keeps from everyone.  Ultimately we find out this secret and how Sutton still continues to run from her past.  They embark on a friendship that gradually grows and the trust that they share is so moving.  Of course as we can figure out since we are reading a romance novel, Caelan and Sutton fall for each other in a way that is deep, very deep, I loved the story of these two and I only wanted their love to work out.  I will not say anything else about this story line or plot, because I hate spoilers.  I loved this story, I am sooo happy this book crossed my path and I decided to read it.  I will say this one is going on my top 10 books of 2014, I am recommending this one to anyone that will listen.  There are so many twist and turns, I thought how can this happen? Why is this happening? What are they going to do now? But it works, and I loved the outcome.  This will be a book that I read again.   I am giving this book 5 out of 5 stars.  I LOVED IT!!!!

Carnage #2: The Story of Me - by Lesley Jones

Cover Reveal

When your world, your life and all of your hopes and dreams for the future are ripped out from under you, how do you go on?
Death without dying is not only the most painful kind of death, it's also the most painful kind of life and I don't know if I'm strong enough to live it.
I spend my lonely days and nights trying to make sense of what my life has become. Do I have the strength to move forward into the light, or should I just let the darkness take me?
I'm Georgia Rae Layton McCarthy and this is the story of me, just me.I'm no longer a part of an us, it's just me. Alone. By myself.

Anticipated date of release is August 1st.

Lesley Jones Biography

I was born and raised in a small working class town in Essex, just outside of East London. I am married with three sons and in 2006 we all moved to the other side of the world, settling on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, about 50K outside of Melbourne Australia. It's a whole new way of life for us down here, we are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world.
I am currently a stay at home mum but in the past I have worked at Marks & Spencer, as a classroom assistant/teachers aid and have run my business.
As well as writing, I love to read and have been known to get through four or five books a week. My other interests are watching my boys play football...The round ball version.  I am happy to admit to being an addict of social media and I owe a lot to my Facebook and Twitter family in promoting my work. I am also rather partial to a glass... or bottle of wine, a nicely chilled Marlborough Sav Blanc being my favorite. Being a born and raised Essex girl, I will happily admit to be being a big fan of spray tans, Shellac and am regularly, waxed, tinted and sculpted, although I am more likely to be found in thongs/flipflops than a pair of white stilettos these days.

Nicholas Tanek - The Coolest Way to Kill Yourself

My name is Nicholas Tanek and I wrote The Coolest Way as a tribute to the love of my life who passed away 2 years ago at the age of 37. This book is the most important thing that I have done in my life. This true story tells a love story that spans two decades. We dealt with depression, drug addiction, abuse, homelessness, prostitution, and many other devastating issues. Although it was just a summer romance that faded away, we came back years together. We saved each other. Love and honesty saved us. It was not religion. It was not psychotherapy. Love saved us. I promise you that this is a very unique and personal book. It is a true story that is filled with hard drugs, kinky sex, and an endless amount of music references. Please read with an open mind and an open heart. It's the coolest way...I think that you will find my book very interesting. It is a very unconventional romance.

Okay, so no one actually kills themselves in this book.

The Coolest Way to Kill Yourself pulls you into the early 90’s New York City rave scene, in all its chaotic, psychedelic glory. The narrator grabs you by your wrist and drags you behind two teenage lovers from New Jersey as they tumble through a whirlwind of reckless hedonism that eventually spirals into a dark, devastating world of drug addiction and heartbreak.

As a teenager, Lynn cried, “No one is ever going to write something for me.”

Nearly two decades later, in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Nicholas did just that. The gesture came too late for our unlikely heroine, but his heart was in the right place. A broken heart… but a true love.

Reunited after years apart, Lynn and Nicholas embraced their love and sexuality, and embraced each other, despite troubled pasts, despite illness, despite all of their imperfections and mistakes. They shared the kind of honest and shameless connection that few have had the honor of knowing, and most would never understand.

“We’re not hurting anyone. We’re just living life without caring what anyone thinks about us, without caring about the consequences.”

“It’s the coolest way to kill ourselves,” Lynn said.

So turn the page, and pull the trigger.

What some people are saying…

“I used to think that I was a fairly liberal and open-minded person. But this world is truly a world outside my comprehension and comfort zone.” – my sister-in-law

"You will never publish this book.” – my ex-wife

“Are you crazy? I can’t believe you are publishing this.” – most of my friends

“I love the fact that you are publishing this.” – most of my cool friends

“You have disgraced me.” – my mother

“Why is your mother so angry about your book? Make sure you shovel the snow from the driveway.” – my father

I popped the button on his pants and trailed my tongue over the curve of his jaw. “Does it matter? Julian can wait.”

Micah growled and spun me to the dresser, lifting to set me on top. He slapped a palm against the wall above my head, caging me in. Escape, although I didn’t want it, would have been near impossible.

“Don’t even say his name. One day, I’m going to rip out his spinal cord.” The coarse golden hair dusting his jaw rasped against my cheek as he took my mouth in a kiss that sent us both spiraling.

The aggression lurking inside him coalesced. Demanding. Rough. He moved his hands over my body, exploring me as if we’d not already memorized every inch of each other earlier that day at the Vault. Mindless to anything except the male body in front of me, I was lost to all reason.
I threaded my fingers through his hair, holding him against me. I stroked my tongue against his, addicted to the taste of him. When I tilted my head to the side, our teeth clanked. Our embrace deepened as he dug his hands into the soft flesh at my hips and slid me close. He ground his body against mine and devoured me.

The demon lurking under the surface made me yearn for it to claim me. Never breaking the kiss, Micah moved the material covering my breast aside and cupped the tender weight. A sharp spike of need ran straight to my core. His hands were callused, the perfect texture moving across my sensitive nipple. The sudden need pulsing through me was going to tear me in half.

When he released my mouth, I gasped for breath. The sensations he caused had me clutching the corded muscles at his back. Featherlight, such a contrast to the frenzied need to mate surging between us, his lips moved across my cheek to my neck.

“I want your hair down.”

He tugged at a few things and within seconds, my painstakingly created up-do fell apart. He ran his hand through my curls. The gentle touch turned forceful. Forming a fist, he tugged, eliciting another needy moan when my head snapped to the side allowing the access he desired.
He nipped the scar on the side of my throat, the imprint of his teeth. I trembled from head to toe.

“Julian may get you tonight, but it’s me who you’ll smell like. My come inside your body. My marks on your flesh. I’ll make sure you remember the feel of my cock with every single step you take.”

Haven’t read the Dark series yet? Start with Dark Cravings (over 50 five star reviews on Amazon), it’s the first full length novel in the series…

Dark Cravings Blurb
Ella Grey's life sucks. A half-breed vampire, she does her best to pass the time killing demons and secretly admiring her Shadow Hunter partner, Micah. He's hot, dangerous and knows it. He'd be just Ella's type if he weren't likely to kill her the moment she put a toe out of line.

A chance encounter with a succubus changes everything. From the second the succubus' spell washes over them, Ella and Micah are helpless to keep their hands off one another. The sex, when it's not leaving them on the verge of death, is earth shattering and for the first time in ages Ella is connected with someone on a level she'd feared lost forever. But a dangerous prophecy has been set into motion, and if Ella's not careful it'll pull her straight from Micah's arms and into the deepest bowels of the underworld.
